NEA Project Management Directorate (PMD) headed by a Deputy Managing Directorate is dedicated to managing ADB projects, and is responsible for preparation, procurement and construction supervision of all new ADB projects starting with SASEC- Power System Expansion Project. Upon commission of the projects, the operation and maintenance of those projects will be transferred to NEA line departments.

Additionally PMD keeps continue to coordinating, monitoring and reporting on the implementation activities of the projects that are being run under Energy Access and Efficiency Improvement Project (ADB's Loan 2587, Grant 0182 and Grant 0183) and Electricity Transmission Expansion and Supply Improvement Project (ADB's Loan 2808, Grant 0270 and Grant 0271).
